SUMMARY:Spruce Creek Country Club
DESCRIPTION:The NEFSGA will be playing the Spruce Creek Country Club in Port Orange FL. on Monday April 13\, 2026.  This course offers a special challenge as the local air traffic lands right over the fairway.  As you stand on the tee\, you can watch them take off and land.  Blind bogey\, gross skins\, closest to the pin and  raffle are all planned along with awards and lunch after the round.  Below is a brief description of the course from their website: \n“The course has multiple tees ranging from 5\,176 yards (women’s tees: slope 123) to 6\,841 yards from the back tees (slope 136). The front side is a more traditional\, tree lined\, tighter layout which runs alongside the community’s private airstrip on holes eight and nine. (A sign on the ninth tee box encourages you to check for incoming aircraft before teeing off!) DESCRIPTION:The World Golf Village has two great golf courses.  We are playing the King & Bear course on Monday April 27\, 2026.   Blind bogey\, gross skins\, closest to the pin\, raffle and awards are all planned.  There is NO LUNCH at this venue   Below is some information on the course from the World Golf Village website: \n” The King & Bear golf course gets its name from both designers. DESCRIPTION:The NEFSGA is returning to the WGV – Slammer & Squire course on Monday May 18\, 2026.  This will be a 9:00 am shotgun start with gross skins\, blind bogey\, closest to the pin. raffle and awards.  No lunch at this venue. \nBelow is some information on the course from their website: \n“The Slammer & Squire course officially opened to the public in May 1998 and has become a favorite Jacksonville Florida golf course. This 18-hole\, 6\,939-yard course was designed by architect Bobby Weed along with World Golf Hall of Fame Members\, Sam Snead (the “Slammer”) and Gene Sarazen\, (the “Squire”). \nThe three men shared a desire to build a golf course that would preserve the area’s natural beauty and reward good shot making….and that’s just what they did. This well-groomed course showcases the pristine\, unspoiled wooded areas\, wetlands and natural beauty of the region. It is relatively wide open with several contoured greens and impressive views of the World Golf Hall of Fame. \nYou’ll discover a layout that places an emphasis on the short game which was reflective of the finesse game that made the “Slammer” and “Squire” legends.
